Pick the symptom you're experiencing. Each card explains what's normal during titration, what evidence-based moves help, what to avoid, and the specific signs that should prompt a call to your prescriber or urgent medical review.

Nausea

What's normal

Mild to moderate nausea for 24–72 hours after each dose escalation, gradually improving over 4–8 weeks of stable dosing.

What helps
  • Eat smaller, low-fat meals spaced through the day
  • Hydrate steadily — sip water, ginger tea, electrolytes
  • Stop eating at the first sign of fullness
  • Bland proteins (eggs, chicken, Greek yogurt) over rich foods
What to avoid
  • Greasy, fried, or very rich foods
  • Large meals or eating past satiety
  • Alcohol — slows recovery and worsens GI symptoms
  • Skipping protein entirely
Contact your prescriber

If nausea prevents you from keeping fluids down for more than 24 hours or persists beyond the typical 72-hour post-dose window.

Seek medical review

Severe abdominal pain (especially radiating to the back), persistent vomiting, signs of dehydration, or yellowing skin — possible pancreatitis or gallbladder issue.
