Symptom-by-symptom intelligence

A targeted journey for patients dealing with active side effects — nausea, GI symptoms, fatigue, muscle loss concerns. Evidence-based moves, not folklore.

  1. Classify the symptom

Not all side effects are equal. Dose-related and time-limited (most nausea, early fatigue) gets managed. Red-flag (severe pain, persistent vomiting, signs of pancreatitis) gets escalated. Knowing the difference is the first move.

  2. Adjust dose and titration first

The single most effective intervention for GI side effects is slowing the titration or holding the current dose for an extra 4–8 weeks. This is far more impactful than any food or supplement change.

  3. Use food and hydration as a second lever

Lower-fat meals, smaller portions, slower eating, and 2–3 L of water reduce nausea and constipation more than people expect. Adequate protein also blunts fatigue.

  4. Protect lean mass and energy

Fatigue and muscle loss aren't side effects of the drug per se — they're side effects of rapid weight loss with inadequate protein and resistance training. Both are preventable.
